2024 Team first-ever Simsbury team to reach CIAC final

The 2024 season was another huge success. The team went 18-4 with a 14-2 regular season record. Simsbury played in the CCC conference championship again in 2024 and was a runner-up losing to Conard 9-7. The CIAC went to 4 divisions in girls lacrosse in 2024 and the team played in Class L and was ranked 3rd in Class L by the end of the season. The team played Masuk in the State Championship losing 10-7 after a hard-fought battle. Simsbury played Lyman Hall, Pomperaug and Amity in the CIAC playoffs to get to the Championship. The team had 6 All-Conference players: Liv Francis(m), Charlie Reitz(d), Alex Loo(a), Delanie Soucie(g), Maddie Francis(a) and Charlotte Diviney(m). The team had three first-team All-State players: Charlie Reitz, Maddie Francis and Charlotte Diviney(m) and one second-team All-State player: Alex Loo. The team had a lot of youth this year with only 12 players returning from the 2023 team. The 2024 team had 15 underclassmen on the team and had only 3 returning starters from 2023. Freshman Charlotte Diviney surpassed 100 points in her freshman year ending with 103. Defensively the team was great again in 2024 allowing only 2 teams to score 10 or more goals in the regular season and allowed 100 goals in 16 games which is second best all-time. The offensive unit was another strong group with 12 players registering at least 1 point on the offense side of the ball. The offensive unit scored 284 goals in 16 regular season games which is 2nd best all-time. Our captains for the 2024 team were Liv Francis, Kate LaFleur, Charlie Reitz and Alex Loo.
