Another undefeated CCC regular season!

The 2023 season was another huge success. The team went 17-4 with a 14-2 regular season record, going undefeated in the CCC. Simsbury played in the first ever CCC conference championship and were runner-up finalist losing to Southington 14-12. The team played in Class L this year which was extremely strong with 5-6 teams in the top-20 in the country throughout the season. The team made the quarter-finals in the state playoffs losing to the number one team in the state and the country, Darien. The team had a record 6 All-Conference players in Reece Willison, Elena Bontatibus, Taylor Truting, Sophie Moretta, Charlie Reitz and Sofia Smith. We had two first team All-State players in Reece Willison and Elena Bontatibus. We also had one US Lacrosse All-Academic player in Reece Willison. Some additional highlights on the season were going undefeated in the CCC, beating Class M state champion Guilford in the regular season and making the Quarter-Finals in the Class L state championship, having 6 freshman on varsity in Anna Stockwell, Maddie Francis, Ellie Kirk, Addy Patrick, Delaney Soucie and Giulia Danielsen. We also had some significant career milestones with Taylor Truting and Reece Willison exceeding 100 career points and Reece Willison reaching 100 goals in her career as well. We also had Elena Bontatibus surpass over 200 points in her career and become the all-time Simsbury leader in career points, goals and assists. Defensively the team was great again in 2023 allowing only 3 teams to score 10 or more goals in the regular season. The defense allowed 124 goals in 16 regular season games. The offensive unit was another strong group with 14 players registering at least 1 point on the offense side of the ball. The offense scored 295 goals in 16 games which is first all-time. Our captains for the 2023 team were Elena Bontatibus, Taylor Truting and Reece Willison.
